'You Want to Know the Real Sheffield?' was a project created to encourage prospective students to study an Art and Design subject at Sheffield Hallam University.
What better way to show some love for the City of Sheffield than through a love poem?
The sonnet aims to explore the Steel City through a creative lens. Each two line is dedicated to a specific discipline. Using keywords to tie into the craft. The poem is then divided into 7 cards that are housed in a bespoke sleeve, highlighting specific words. These cards sit within a general Art and Design publication.
This outcome became a real passion project for me. To have the opportunity to combine my love for words and design was a really rewarding process and one of which I am very proud of.
