‘You Want to Know the Real Sheffield?’ was a campaign designed to inspire prospective students to study Art and Design at Sheffield Hallam University.
What better way to express affection for Sheffield than through a love poem?
This original sonnet captures the essence of the Steel City through a creative lens, with each rhyming couplet dedicated to a different art or design discipline. Keywords are carefully woven into each line to reflect the unique qualities of the craft. The poem is split across seven duplexed cards, each housed in a bespoke sleeve that highlights specific words and themes. These tactile cards sit within a wider Art and Design publication.
This was a true passion project — an opportunity to unite my love of language with thoughtful design. The process was incredibly rewarding, and the result is something I’m genuinely proud of.
